This Edwardian John Broadwood & Sons Grand Piano dates from around 1910 (the golden age of Broadwood)

The Broadwood company was very much ahead of its time in the design of its mechanisms and its not so different from playing a modern piano.

Rich in history, in 1910, a similar Broadwood  grand piano went on Captain Scott's Antarctic expedition, was taken to the first base camp, and played on the ice.

Gustav Holst also was a proud owner of a Broadwood Grand, on which he composed the famous Planets' Suite,In fact Broadwood's legacy goes back to Ludwig Van  Beethoven for owing a Broadwood piano himself.

This instrument was rebuilt approximately 20 years ago, is finished in a beautiful mahogany case, and is in good condition throughout. The piano has been regularly tuned and maintained, In addition, it has the bonus of being completely restrung and refelted by our renowned workshop. Featuring twin legs with an attractive pierced music desk it is a perfect piece of English furniture.
